Elaine Marie Keipert

Mrs. Keipert passed away Monday, June 6, 2011 at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Fenton, MI. Age 83 years. The daughter of the late Fred and Mary (Herber) Kraut was born February 1, 1928 in Bay City, Michigan. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Bay City and Trinity Lutheran Church in Fenton. Mrs. Keipert was employed by Kroger's for many years as a cashier. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed to golf and her greatest enjoyment was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived one son; Dale Keipert of Fenton, MI, one daughter and son-in-law; Carol and Geoff Reinig of South Lyon, MI, her grandchildren; Dean (Kelly) Keipert, Crystal (Jacob) Geyer, Ann Marie Keipert, Garrett, Chloe and Gunnar Reinig, her great grandchildren; Trey Keipert, Sam, Hugh, Mary and Grace Geyer, two sisters-in-law; Elizabeth Keipert and Iris Kraut, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; Bob F. Keipert, his daughter-in-law; Mary Jo Keipert, two brothers and one sister; Reinie Kraut, Edna Bishop and Emil Kraut. Funeral services will take place Friday, June 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Daniel C. Meckes with interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mrs. Keipert will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
