Elaine Helen Keyser

Keyser, Elaine Helen Lehigh Acres, Florida Bay City, Michigan Elaine passed early Thursday morning April 21, 2011 at her home in Lehigh Acres, Florida. Age 70 years. She was the Past President of the U.A.W. Local 362 retirees and retired from General Motors Powertrain after thirty years of service. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 18 in Bay City and a Past President and member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 104 in Standish and held many other positions at the local and state levels. She was an active volunteer in our community and at the VA Hospital in Saginaw. Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family and especially with her grandchildren. She is survived by four children; James and Betty Adkins of Owasso, Alice and Thomas Wehr of Pinconning, Kenneth and Jennifer Adkins of Toledo, OH and Arthur Keyser of Lehigh Acres, FL, her step children; Marilyn and Terry Wackerle, Sandra Pitts, Shirley Keyser, Linda Keyser and Kathy Crosby, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren her brothers and sisters; Dorcia, Art, Jim, Betty, Josephine and Rachael and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Emery Edmond Shepard and Helen (Daniels-Shepard) and Austin Miller, one son; Roger Adkins two sisters; Millie and Emma and two brothers; John and Ed. Funeral Services will take place Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.. Officiating will be Rev. Carol L. Blair-Bouse with interment following in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 7:00 to 9:00, Tuesday from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services.. Members of the American Legion Auxiliary will conduct a memorial service Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
