Elaine Marie Van Duser (Kipfmiller) Bay City, Michigan Elaine M. Van Duser, of Bay City, passed away early Thursday morning August 16, 2012 at McLaren Bay Region, age 80. The daughter of the late Clarence and Iola (Ramey) Kipfmiller, she was born January 10, 1932 in Bay City. Elaine had previously worked at Dow Chemical Co. and Salzburg Pharmacy. She was a longtime, active member of the former Covenant Presbyterian Church and was currently attending Kawkawlin Community Church. Elaine was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star - Bay Chapter #219. She was an excellent mother and grandmother and enjoyed playing the organ, making floral arrangements, painting, fishing and golfing. On November 4, 1950 Elaine married Melvin S. Van Duser and he survives her along with their son and daughter-in-law, Kurt (Sheri) Van Duser of Bay City; granddaughter, Megan Van Duser of Essexville; and grandson, Derek Van Duser of Bay City. Besides her parents, Elaine was also preceded in death by a baby sister, Joanne Kipfmiller; and her father and mother-in-law, Irving and Mamie (Edmonds) Van Duser. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday August 20, 2012 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. David L. Dunn with interment following at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Members of the Eastern Star will conduct their memorial service on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals or Kawkawlin Community Church. www.gephartfuneralhome.com
