Eleanor M. Gary

Eleanor M. Gary, of Rose City, passed away Wednesday evening, April 29, 2015 at Bortz Health Care of Rose City, age 84. The daughter of the late Ernest and Ellen (Nielson) Hertzberg, she was born on May 20, 1930 in Sterling. Eleanor worked for several years at the Normandy Dress Company in Bay City. Eleanor is survived by her dear friend, Sharon Briggs; a grandson; two brothers, Alvin Hertzberg of Davenport, Florida and Russell Hertzberg of Bay City; two sisters, Alma Dishaw of St. Louis, MI and Dorothy Crawford of Sanford, MI; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Eleanor was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lois Babcock; a granddaughter; seven brothers, Ernest Hertzberg, Eldon Hertzberg, Ronald Hertzberg, Donald Hertzberg, Eugene Hertzberg, Ely Hertzberg and Richard Hertzberg; and a sister, Irma Donaldson.
