Eleanor K. Gray

Gray, Eleanor K. Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Eleanor K. Gray, of Bay City, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 9, 2017 at The Carriage House of Bay City, age 86. The daughter of the late John and Mary (Hamann) Wegener was born July 31, 1930 in Auburn, Michigan. Eleanor was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and enjoyed spending time with her family. Eleanor is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law; Mickey (Mary) Gray of Beaverton, Thomas Gray of Grand Rapids and Richard (Sherrie) Gray of Bay City, one son-in-law; Paul (Michelle) Wilczynski of Bay City, seven grandchildren; Cory Gray, Brett Gray, Kristin (Michael) LoPresti, Andy (Holly) Wilczynski, Steve Wilczynski, Courtney Gray and Ethan Gray; one great-grandchild; Elliot LoPresti, one brother, Walter Wegener; one sister, Mary (Edward) Lobsinger; brothers and sisters-in-law; Ralph Schwab, Lyle Walter, Les (Shirley) Gray, Shirley Wegener, Marion Gray, Rita Gray, Sharon Thomas and Hazel Kish. In addition to her parents Eleanor was also preceded in death by her husband, Francis R. "Cork" Gray whom she married on February 14, 1953; one daughter; Marilyn Wilczynski; four brothers, Edward (Mary Jane), Raymond (Frieda), Elmer and John Wegener; six sisters, Ruth Wegener, Ella (Alfred) Stieve, Edith Schwab, Gertrude (Albert) Gray, Dorothy (Richard) Monsion and Alice Walter and several other brothers and sisters-in-law. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Carriage House for their compassion and care that they gave to Eleanor. The Funeral and Committal Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Paul G. Kruse with private interment following in Home Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Gray will lie in-state at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
