Eleanor M. Hitchcock

Our loving and caring mother and grandmother passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Brian's House. Age 93 years. The daughter of the late Pearl and Minnie (Smith) Beal was born January 7, 1926 in Echo Township, Michigan. Mrs. Hitchcock was a L.P.N. at Bay Medical Center for many years and a member of Grace Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and working in her garden.

Mrs. Hitchcock is survived by her son, Larry (Mary) Hitchcock; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one brother, Norman Beal; brother-in-law, Les (Sharon) Hitchcock; two sisters-in-law, Connie (Wayne) Fryes and Faye Beal. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Thomas Hitchcock; two sons, Craig Hitchcock and Rodney Hitchcock; three brothers and one sister.

Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Grace Church - West Campus. Officiating will be Rev. Eric Kieb with private interment following in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Monday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for Brian's House will be available at the funeral home.
