Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister-in-law passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the Carriage House Nursing Home. Age 93 years. The daughter of the late Alex and Mary (Reder) Luptowski was born September 5, 1923 in Bay County, MI. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish-St. Vincent de Paul Church. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, taking care of grandchildren, doing Word Search Books, watching Angelia Lansbury's Murder She Wrote on T.V., spending time with her dog, Heidi and enjoyed shopping with her sisters, Marian, Monica and Rita. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children and their spouses, Karen Kennedy of Bay City, MI, Kendall and Phyllis Kennedy Jr. of Arizona, Patricia and Mike Dietlein of Indiana, Patrick and Debra Kennedy of Beaverton, MI and Kimberly Kennedy-Wilson of Bay City, MI; grandchildren, Jennifer (Greg) Olechowski, Sara (Kris) Henrion, Sean (Mandi) Witkovsky, April Kennedy, Christopher Wilson and Kirsten Wilson; her great grandchildren, Hayden Olechowski, Holly Dybas and Willow Dybas; one sister-in-law, Lorraine Luptowski. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Kendall V. Kennedy Sr., infant daughter, Janice Kennedy, her brothers and sisters, Edward (Annabelle) Luptowski, Alex Luptowski, Louise (Otto) Reetz, Gertrude (Guy) Hardy, John Luptowski, Marian (Leo) Kula, Monica Primeau and Rita (Bob) DuRussell. Our special thanks and sincere gratitude to our extended family at the Carriage House. Thanks to all of you who were, not only as caregivers, but friends to mom and us. We also thank McLaren Hospice. The Funeral Liturgy will take place Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Parish -St. Vincent de Paul Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. John S. Sarge with the Rite of Committal following in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. to receive family and friends. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Kennedy will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to the Donor's Favorite Charity or the D.A.V.
