Smith, Elizabeth I. of Essexville, Michigan. Mrs. Smith passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Bay Medical Care Facility. Age 90 years. The daughter of the late Arthur and Maud (Shorkey) LeGault was born March 13, 1919 in Bay City, Michigan. Mrs. Smith was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She retired in 1988 from Bay City Public Schools where she worked as a cook. Mrs. Smith was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, loved to cook and was very dedicated to her family and her grandchildren. She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law; Eugene and Pam Smith of Bay City and Mark and Laurie Smith of Essexville, one daughter and son-in-law; Laura and Michael Langenberg of Luzerne, her grandchildren; Art (Rose) Smith, Bruce (Lona) Smith, Eric (Stacey) Smith and Bryan (Brenda) Smith, Thomas (Renee) Wibirt and Wayne (Jenny) Wibirt, Christy Langenberg, Michael (Shelli) Langenberg and Rachael (Will) Pamame, 23 great grandchildren, one sister and brother-in-law; Cecelia and Ray Robinson,one brother and sister-in-law; Edwin and Fran LeGault, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Eugene A. Smith and one sister and brother-in-law, Hannah and Lyle Hallard. The family would like to extend a special Thank you to the entire staff on 2nd floor 2 East at Bay Medical Care Facility for the kind and compassionate care you gave our loved one during her illness. The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will take place Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Officiating will be Rev Fr. Robert J. Meissner with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial Cards for Bay Medical Care Facility will be available at the funeral home.
