Elizabeth L. Warren

Warren, Elizabeth L. Warren, of Bay City, passed away Sunday February 5, 2012 at McLaren-Bay Region, age 80. The daughter of the late Frank R. & Helen Lucille (Decker) Vaughn, she was born July 28, 1931 in Flint. Elizabeth graduated from Flint Central High School and then the Flint Police Academy. She served as a policewoman with the Flint Police Department from 1962 until her retirement in 1985. Elizabeth is survived by her two children, James (Diane) Harris of Mt. Morris and Lisa (William) Daeschlein of Bay City; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Alberta Nelson, Alice Boylan and Jeannette Leach; a special member of the family, Gwen Daeschlein; and her beloved cat, Acorn. Besides her parents, Elizabeth was also preceded in death by a sister, Leona Simmons. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held on Saturday February 11, 2012 in Bay City. Arrangements are by the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc., Bay City.
