Elois M. Piotrowski

Piotrowski, Elois M. Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Piotrowski passed away Sunday evening September 15, 2013 at Bay Shores Nursing Center at the age of 90 years with her family at her side. The daughter of the late Fred and Irene (Gauthier) Friebe was born October 5, 1922 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. She was a former member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church and was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Elois was employed in the Health Care Industry for many years, she enjoyed traveling, music, live theater and most of all spending time with her family. On November 8, 1941 she married her husband of 72 years Alfred B. Piotrowski in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and he survives her passing along with three daughters and one son-in-law; Virginia Hughes, Betty Vincent and Alena and Donald Sabourin, three sons and three daughters-in-law; Michael and Linda Piotrowski, Thomas and Kathy Piotrowski and Paul and Mary Lou Piotrowski, thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one sister and brother-in-law; Mary and Jan Campbell, one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law; Sam and Shirley Piotrowski and Patricia Micho and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by one son-in-law; Daniel Hughes, one granddaughter; Amy Hughes and one sister; Rosemarie Jablonski. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Patrick M. Jankowiak with the Rite of Committal following in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Piotrowski will be taken to the church on Wednesday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for "The Wishes of the Family" for a memorial in memory of Mrs. Piotrowski to be established at a later time.
