Emma S. Scherzer

Scherzer, Emma S. Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Scherzer passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Niche Aging Center . Age 67 years. The daughter of the late Miguel and Juanita G. (Garza) Sanchez was born October 16, 1945 in Bay City, Michigan. Emma was retired from the medical field and loved spending time with her grandson, family and friends and helping out others. Emma enjoyed tending to her garden and was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses. Emma is survived by one son, James (Lisa) Scherzer; one grandson, Jayden Scherzer; one brother, Joe Sanchez; four sisters, Martha (Jose) Mosqueda, Kay (Mike) Koteskey, Lupe (Tom) Bradfield and Nena McHenry and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents Emma was also preceded in death by her husband, Wayne M. Scherzer; two brothers, Mike and Andrew Sanchez and one sister, Maria Sanchez. At the request of Mrs. Scherzer cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Elder Nathan Schmeichel. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
