Erie K. Roth

Mrs. Erie (Kutzke) Roth, of Bay City, went into the loving arms of Jesus on Tuesday August 21, 2012 at the Bay Valley House, age 97. The daughter of the late Robert and Amelia (Strefling) Kutzke, she was born October 19, 1914 in Beaver Twp. Erie was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was an active volunteer for several years. On January 28, 1933 Erie married Adolph J. Roth and he preceded her in death on November 4, 1998. Mrs. Roth is survived by her two daughters, Jan (Marvin) Vogtmann of Bay City and Marilyn (Walter) Arnold of Midland; four grandchildren, Robb Arnold and Stacie, Dale Arnold and Abbie, Rebecca (Scott) Martz and Kerrie Arnold and Steve; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Norman (Donna) Kutzke of Kawkawlin; a sister, Velma Brown of Florida; and two sisters-in-law, Sue Berger and Alma Roth both of Bay City. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 25, 2012 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Scott Martz. Private interment will be in Home Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
