Born May 7, 1926, the eldest daughter of Veryl Walker and Mildred Walker of Owosso, Michigan, has gone to be with our Lord on Sunday, October 21, 2018. She married Robert (Bob) Austin Oswald on September 4th, 1943. They were married for 68 years until Bob was called home in 2011.
They welcomed their first son, Robert Oswald, who was called home during his infancy. A few years later they welcomed another son, Richard Henry Oswald, who currently resides in Mackay, Idaho. He has two adult children, Nathan Austin Oswald and his wife Tracey, of Bay City, Michigan and Renae Rachele Meriwether and her husband Jason, of Traverse City, Michigan. Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Darby, Brooke, Jonathan, Jeremiah, Jessica and Jaren. Ermal is survived by her siblings Les Walker, Ronald Walker, Linda Rabadue, and Marcia Moultane as well as several special nieces and nephews.
Ermal was a beautiful soul inside and out, she loved butterflies, angels, gardening, and doing crossword puzzles. She could fish and hunt and did everything with her sweetheart Bob. She was a kind and loving lady. She made everyone feel welcome in her home where you would find lots of fresh garden vegetables, beautiful flowers from her yard and always a sweet treat. She was also a very gifted baker. Her many wonderful holiday dinners will be missed but not as much as her smile and hugs and laughter.
The family would like to thank everyone that has been so helpful to her the past several years since Bob has passed. Ermal worked at Prestolite and worked at the Heart Association for over 25 years. She will be missed greatly by all who loved her.
