Mr. Sauvage passed away early Monday, morning January 26, 2015 at his residence. Age 86 years. He was born November 19, 1928 in Bay City. He was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church of Amelith. Mr. Sauvage retired from G.M. Powertrain-Bay City Plant and a member of Local #362.He enjoyed playing golf, going hunting and fishing and tinkering in his garage. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the D.A.V. He is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law; Thomas and Sharon Sauvage, Curtis Sauvage and Jeffrey Sauvage, his grandchildren; Keri Sauvage, Heather Sauvage, Ryan (Nicole) Sauvage, Jarrod Sauvage and Danielle Sauvage, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives; Luella Foerster and Alice Mae Sauvage and his brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will take place Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Ev. Lutheran of Amelith. Officiating will be Rev. Stephen Starke with interment following in the church cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Sauvage will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
