Hentschel, Erwin F., of Bay City, Michigan. I was born in Berlin, Germany on August 20, 1925, and lived in Bay City until my death on December 8, 2011. I have had a full life that I shared with my greatest joy, my family. With shouts of trumpets and songs of angels I am now with my loving wife Helga (Kopp) Hentschel and son Thomas Hentschel. I traveled the world over and left behind a beautiful home and an artistic talent and curiosity which I passed on to the next three generations. Now I'd like to pass on some words of advice to you: 1. Travel 2. Enjoy yourself everyday of your life 3. Forgive and forget 4. Eat more chocolate 5. Laugh! My beloved family also includes brothers Gerhard Hentschel, Bruno Hentschel (deceased), sister Ulla Schwellnus (deceased), children, Martina (Bill) Leslie, Christina Michael, Michele Hentschel, Erwin (Mandi) Hentschel, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren, and special friend, Ulla Vogt (deceased). I will abide in Thy tabernacle forever. I will trust in the covert of Thy wings. Selah. If you would like to honor my memory, please benefit Zion Lutheran Church (510 W. Ivy St., Bay City, MI 48706) where I found warmth and love. At the request of Mr. Hentschel cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. John W. Wernecke with private inurnment following in Home Cemetery.
