Esther I. Festerling

Esther passed away Friday, August 5, 2011 at Memorial Health Care in Owosso, MI. She was born September 22, 1919 in Bay County, MI. On June 4, 1939 she married Lester G. Festerling and he passed away April 24, 1997. Esther was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid. Esther is survived by four sons and twin daughters; Robert (Paula) of Hemlock, Rev. Howard (Judi) of Midland, Lois (Tom) Tackebury of Owosso, MI, Linda (James) Philip of Kirkland, WA, Roger (Miriam) of Menomonee Falls, WI, John (Julie) of Minneota, MN, twenty grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren, one sister; Lydia Bond, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents; William and Mary Frank, they passed away March 1948 as a result of an automobile accident, her brothers; Martin and Alfred, her sisters; Mary, Meta and Frieda. Funeral services will take place Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will Rev. Paul E. Schweppe and Rev. Paul E. Schaewe with interment following in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. on Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Esther will be taken to the church on Wednesday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
