Esther Ziegler

Esther (Schmidt) Ziegler Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Esther (Schmidt) Ziegler, of Bay City, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at her residence, age 84. The daughter of the late Christ & Eva Schmidt, she was born May 24, 1928 in Chicago, IL. Esther retired from Consumers Power in Bay City. She was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. On November 11, 1950 Esther married Roy H. Ziegler and he preceded her in death on May 8, 2006. Esther is survived by her son, Craig Ziegler of Bay City; two brothers, Richard (Chris) Schmidt of Ohio and Edward Schmidt of Saginaw; and a special niece and nephew, Carol (Harvey) Grulke of Wisconsin and Daryl Ziegler of Bay City and many other nieces and nephews. Esther was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Elaine Osbourne. A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 23, 2012 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 706 W. Jane St., Bay City. Officiating will be Rev. Paul E. Schaewe. Private inurnment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. There will be no visitation at the Gephart Funeral Home.
