Etta M. Karr

Karr, Etta M. Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Karr passed away on June 6, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 91 years. The daughter of the late James and Ruth (VanStone) Etue was born January 10, 1926 in Bay City, Michigan. Mrs. Karr was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish - St. Hyacinth Parish and retired from McLaren Bay Region in 1991, she was a member of the Bay Regional Medical Center Auxiliary and managed the McLaren Bay Region Gift shop. Mrs. Karr enjoyed volunteering at the hospital and spending time with her family. Mrs. Karr is survived by her children, Deborah (Randy) Turner and Michelle (Jeff) Staudacher; grandchildren, Mellissa (Kevin) Kipfmiller, Jayson (Tina) Gentle, Joshua Turner, Erica Staudacher and Katie (Scott) Miller; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandson; several nieces and nephews and one brother-in-law, John Wiesen. In addition to her parents Mrs. Karr was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Karr and her sister, Elizabeth Wiesen. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish - St. Hyacinth Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Dale A. Orlik with Rite of Committal following in St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Karr will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
