LaDouceur, Eugene Francis Jr. Bay City, Michigan Mr. LaDouceur passed away peacefully Friday morning, January 17, 2014 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 80 years. The son of the late Eugene Francis and Ethelyn (Doyle) La Douceur was born July 4, 1933 in Indiana. He formerly attended Visitation Catholic Church. Mr. La Douceur retired from Lakehead pipeline as a supervisor/electrician. At the age of 80 he just received his High School G.E.D. which was presented to him by two local Navy Recruiters. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local # 692, the Bay City Lions Club, N.R.A. and the E.A.A. In his free time he enjoyed talking on his Ham Radio, flying his airplane, riding his Harley, reading, small game hunting, ice fishing and woodworking. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Left to cherish his memory are four daughters and their spouses; Shelly and Allen Young Sr. , Linda LaDouceur, Jeannette Jablonski , Cynthia and Randy Everitt, his grandchildren; Allen Young Jr., Kristy Young, Valerie Jablonski, Skylar Jablonski, Trevor Everitt and Austin Everitt; sister-in-law, Diane French; two nieces, Mandy French Grosh and Jamie French; one great niece, Avery; one great nephew, Connor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Janice (French) LaDouceur and one brother-in-law, Terry L. French. The family would like to extend a special Thank you to the Home & Hospice Advantage for their kind and compassionate care our loved one received. Funeral Services will take place Monday, January 20, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Jerry Hegenauer with interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery followed by Military Honors Conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council and the United States Navy. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
