Mrs. Anderson passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at her residence, surrounded by her family. Age 82 years. The daughter of the late Cecil and Edith Hecox was born March 20, 1936 in Standish, Michigan. Mrs. Anderson was the former co-owner of Anderson Pharmacy. She enjoyed shopping with her daughters, sewing and was a huge Detroit Tigers Fan.
Left behind to cherish her memories are her husband, Harold A. Anderson whom she married November 16, 1972; her children, Rodney (Denise) Kennedy, Rebecca (Murray) (her husband, Daniel) Spencer, Steve (Teresa) Kennedy and Tracey (Chris) Goodnight; three step children, Barbara (Dan Roth) Anderson, Victor Anderson and Elizabeth (Craig) Cooley; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Kurt, Nick, Bret, Alex, Olivia and Sam; one great granddaughter, Phoebe; six step grandchildren; one brother, Keith (Sally) Hecox; her special friends, Ron and Joyce Koehler and Thelma Luczak. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one brother, Ernest Hecox; one sister; Bonnie Boyce. The family would like to extend a special Thank you to Dr. Hurtubise and Pam for the wonderful care she received.
At the request of Mrs. Anderson cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson with private inurnment following in Heavenly Rest Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral home on Saturday to receive family and friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Those planning an expression may wish to consider donations to the Susan B. Komen for the cure.
