Evelyn S. Asel

Asel, Evelyn S. Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Asel passed away early Sunday morning February 3, 2013 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 75 years. She was born May 3, 1937 in E. Tawas, Michigan and has resided in this area for may years. Evelyn was Baptized at St. Alban's Episcopal Church, graduated from high school in 1991 and received the Mother of the Year Award in 1998. She was formerly employed at Graphic Metals where she worked for twenty seven years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching game shows on TV and most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. On August 27, 1971 she married Anthony "Tony" Asel and he survives her passing along with one daughter; Amy Griffenham and her companion; David Huizer Jr., three special grandchildren; Zack Asel and his fiancée Cali Gonzales, Phillip Griffenham Jr. and Molly Griffenham, one great grandchild; Mason Anthony Asel, one sister; Delphine O'Farrell, one sister-in-law; Joyce Christian and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Reginald and Harriett (Holder) Elliott, one daughter; Jill Helmreich, five brothers; Preston, Clifford "Dyke", Carl, Al and Billy, three sisters; Thelma, Frieda, Regina and one sister-in-law; Yvonne Dickens. A Memorial Service will take place Friday, February 8, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Thomas P. Dinan. The family will be present at the funeral home on Friday to receive visitors from 12:00 O'clock Noon and until the time of service. Memorial cards for the Wishes of the Family will be available at the funeral home.
