Evelyn M. Dishaw

Evelyn M. Dishaw (Sullivan) Prescott, Michigan Formerly of Bay City, Michigan Evelyn M. Dishaw, age 97 of Prescott, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013 at Medilodge of Sterling Nursing Home in Sterling. On September 9, 1939 Evelyn married Clarence B. Dishaw and he preceded her in death on December 16, 2003. She was born to David Michael and Marion (Fuger) Sullivan on November 4, 1915 in Bay City. Evelyn resided in Bay City until 1960 when she and Clarence moved to Prescott. She was a charter member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Prescott. Evelyn is survived by four children, Jeanne (Bill) Thompson of Prescott, David (Darlene) Dishaw of Midland, Dale (Sue) Dishaw of Peyton, CO and Clare (Natalie) Dishaw of Milton, VT; her grandchildren, Bill (Kay) Thompson, Jeffrey (Jennea) Thompson, David Dishaw, Jr., Dennis (Bobbie) Dishaw and Joshua Dishaw; great-grandchildren, Brett Thompson, Connor Thompson, Chad, Ryan and Sarah Michael, David Alan Dishaw, Abby Lincoln-Klele and Madalyn Dishaw; a great-great-granddaughter, Amaya Grace Michael; two sisters, Ann (John) Volk and Carolyn (Pat) Carson; and two brothers, Murray 'Red' Sullivan and Michael (Patsy) Sullivan. Evelyn was also preceded in death by six sisters, Lucille, Jeanette (Pete) Pelletier, Maureen (Derosier), Jacquelyn (Jerry) Spencer, Kate (John) Musser and Rosie (Joe) Beson. It was Evelyn's desire that cremation take place. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Sr. Mary Epple, R.S.M. Private inurnment will be in Richland Twp. Cemetery in Prescott. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
