Evelyn J. Nowicki

Evelyn J. Nowicki, Bay City, Michigan, our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday October 22, 2010, age 83. The daughter of the late Fred & Margaret (Lavrack) Morse, she was born June 5, 1927 in Bay City. Evelyn retired in 1980 from Bay City Chevrolet. She enjoyed cars, going to the casino, cards and lottery and spending time with her family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Evelyn is survived by her children, Janet Grzegorczyk, Michael Nowicki both of Bay City, Bonnie Roksiewicz of Kawkawlin and Patricia (Paul) Lesperance of Bay City; grandchildren, Michael Grzegorczyk, Sharon (Tim) Lupke, Troy (Destiny) Grzegorczyk, Jon and Kristen Nowicki, Amanda, Joey and Kyle Roksiewicz and Paul Jr. and Tyler Lesperance; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Mitchell, Mikayla, Drew and Serenity; two sisters, Betty Parker and Virginia Kimmel; and several nieces & nephews. Evelyn was also preceded in death by her husband, Chester J. Nowicki in 2003; a son-in-law, Joseph R. Roksiewicz; two sisters; and seven brothers. The family would like to thank Dr. Janet Sutton and also the staff of Brian's House for the exceptional care they gave to Evelyn. The funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Thursday October 28, 2010 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 9:00pm and on Thursday from 10:00am until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Brian's House.
