Florence Adams

Mrs. Florence Adams, of Bay City, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Bay Shores Nursing Center, age 91. The daughter of the late John & Eva (Buechler) Schmidt, she was born June 12, 1921 in Bay City. Florence was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid. She was a registered nurse at the former Samaritan Hospital and then retired from the office of John W. Grigg, MD. Florence married Ervin G. Adams and he preceded her in death. Florence is survived by her three children and their spouses, Jacqueth (Robert) Reisig of Palm City, FL, Norman (Marinel) Adams of Freeland and Cheryl (Warren) Bohnet of Billings, MT; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Florence was also preceded in death by her sister, Adella Boes; and two brothers, Richard Schmidt and Eno Schmidt. The Funeral and Committal Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church, 510 W. Ivy St. Officiating will be Rev. William H. Allwardt. Private interment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 5:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mrs. Adams will lie instate at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
