Florence A. Pfundt

Pfundt, Florence A. Bay City, Michigan The daughter of the late Herman G. and Clara (Feinauer) Arnold passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 at her residence with her family at her side. Age 91 years. She was born June 6, 1919 in Monitor Township and has resided there all of her life. Florence was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Monitor. She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law; Paul and Jeanine Pfundt and Carl and Pamela Pfundt, five grandchildren; Eric, Evan, Nicole, Henry O. II and Andrew Pfundt, one sister; Irene (Bill) Luehring Kaukauna of WI, one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law; Lorin and Mary Pfund of Bay City and Shirley Pfund of Gladwin and many nieces and nephews. On April 23, 1944 she married Carl Nurmi and he preceded her in death on September 17, 1944 and on August 20, 1948 she married Henry O. Pfundt and he preceded her in death on August 24, 1976. Florence was also preceded in death by one granddaughter; Victoria Pfundt, one brother and two sisters-in-law; Elmer and Wilma Arnold and Lila Cloud and one brother-in-law; James Pfund. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sandy Gerhauser, McLaren Nurse Services and Judy Gray for the kind and compassionate care they extended to Florence during her illness. A Family Graveside Service will take place Friday, January 21, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at Floral Gardens Cemetery. A Memorial Service will take place Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church of Monitor with Rev. David F. Sherry officiating. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 2:00 to 9:00p.m. and at the Church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of service. Memorial cards for Trinity Lutheran Church of Monitor - "A Time To Build" will be available at the funeral home.
