Mrs. Tressic passed away early Monday afternoon April 29, 2013 at Bay Shores Nursing Home. Age 97 years. She was born September 13,1915 in Munger, Michigan and has resided in Bay County all of her life. She was a devoted member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed wintering in Florida, crafts, sewing, singing and volunteering at her church. She is survived by four children and their spouses; Nancy and Barry Miller of Ann Arbor, Janet and Robert Szczypka of Essexville, Fr. David Tressic of Pompano, Beach, FL and Dennis and Kaye Tressic of Kawkawlin, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, many great great grandchildren, four step grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, one sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews. On November 21, 1936 she married Julius J. Tressic in St. Norbert Catholic Church in Munger and he preceded her in death on November 7, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents; Stephen and Katherine (Fox) Gwizdala, one son Clement Tressic and three brothers; Sylvester, Albin and Eugene Gwizdala. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at McLaren Hospice and Bay Shores Nursing Home for the kind and compassionate care they extended to Mrs. Tressic during the time they cared for her. The Funeral Liturgy will take place Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Richard Jozwiak with the Rite of Committal Following at St. Stanislaus Catholic Mausoleum. The family will be present at the church on Thursday to receive visitors from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of the Mass.
