Frances R. Gray "Cork" Bay City, Michigan Mr. Gray passed away Wednesday March 11, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 86 years. The son of the late Edward and Hazel (Hough) Gray was born August 2, 1928 in Langlough, PA and has resided in Bay City most of his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Gray was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and retired from Grey Iron Foundry in 1986. Cork was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing golf, bowling and baseball. On February 14, 1953 he married his loving wife of 62 years the former Eleanor K. Wegener and she is left behind to cherish his memories along with three sons and two daughters-in-law; Mickey and Mary Gray of Beaverton, Thomas Gray of Grand Rapids and Richard and Sherrie Gray of Bay City, one son-in-law; Paul Wilczynski of Bay City, seven grandchildren; Cory Gray, Brett Gray, Kristin and Michael LoPresti, Andy Wilczynski and his fiancee Holly Huber, Steve Wilczynski, Courtney Gray and Ethan Gray, one great grandchild; Elliot LoPresti, one sister; Hazel Kish, two brothers and five sister-in-law; Les and Shirley Gray and Charles and Marion Gray, Jane Gray, Rita Gray and Sharon Thomas and several other brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter; Marilyn Wilczynski on September 16, 2013, five brothers and one sister-in-law; Edward, Albert and Gertrude, James, Harry and Robert Gray and one brother-in-law; Ernest Kish. Funeral services will take place Monday, March 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church 510 W. Ivy St. Bay City, MI 48706. Officiating will be Rev. William H. Allwardt with interment following in Home Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Gray will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state on Monday from 12:00 noon and until the time of service. Memorial Cards for Zion Lutheran Church will be available at the funeral home.
