Francis J. Soehnel

Soehnel, Francis J. Bay City, Michigan Francis, age 69 years, passed away from a lengthy fight with cancer and MDS on May 29, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Francis was born on June 11, 1941 in Gladwin, Michigan. The son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Soehnel. Surviving family is his best friend and loving wife of 51 years, Judy; their three children: Sam (Kathy) Soehnel, Shannan (Rick) Suchyta, and Susanne (Craig) Trautner, nine grandchildren: Pamela, Jennifer, Samuel, Clinton, Nicholas, Dakota, Dessarae, Arielle and Keane; and two great grandchildren: Anthony and Maximus. Also surviving Francis is his seven siblings: Patricia, Anthony (Karen), June, Chet, and Joseph (Barb Handy) Soehnel, Marie (Larry) Klamer and Anna (William) Harper along with many nephews and nieces. Francis was a true one-of-a-kind human being that we all loved for his humor, honesty, compassion, his story telling, his love for life, his take charge high "I" personality, his dedication to family, his cutting edge business sense, love of his faith in God and Jesus Christ, and his incredible enthusiasm. We will miss you so much, Francis, and all who had the pleasure of knowing you....... Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. The celebrant will be Reverend Father Robert S. Gohm. Luncheon immediately following the funeral mass. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery in Gladwin, MI. Visitation will occur on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home.
