Franklin J. Parks

Parks, Franklin J. Bay City, Michigan Mr. Parks passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 75 years. The son of the late Alfred and Laura (Young) Parks Sr. was born February 6, 1940 in Bay City, Michigan. He was retired from Auburn Automotive, was a ham radio operator and enjoyed doing model racing cars. Mr. Parks is survived by his wife of 55 years the former Sandra A. Jackson whom he married on July 2, 1960; three daughters, Debra Grochowski, Teri (David) Bruning and Bobbi (Charles) Hudson; six grandchildren, Steven Machulis, Jessica Machulis, Heather Grochowski, Tyler Machulis, Samantha Wickman and Michael Kocsis; twelve great grandchildren; one brother, Fred Parks; one sister, Pauline Drounin and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce and Violet and one brother, Alfred Parks. At the request of Mr. Parks cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at St. Alban's Episcopal Church. Officiating will be The Rev. Sharon L. Voelker. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 1:30 p.m. and until the time of services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the wishes of the family.
