Franklin E. Schlink

Mr. Franklin E. Schlink, of Bay City, passed away on Saturday afternoon, February 7, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region, age 77. The son of the late Rudolph and Irene (Bonneau) Schlink, he was born on May 28, 1937 in Bay County. Frank served in the U.S. Army and was retired from Prestolite Corp. He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Church. Frank is survived by his "Brown-Eyed Angel", his wife of 40 years, Geraldine C. (DeShano) Schlink. Frank is also survived by a sister, Evelyn Monroe; three half brothers, John, Rick and Jim; two sisters-in-law, Veronica Perz and Mary Schlink; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Frank was also preceded in death by three brothers, Carl, Everett and George Schlink; and a sister, Alberta Donner-Kuch. The Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Robert S. Gohm. The Rite of Committal will follow at Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council.
