Frederick George Ruegsegger "Fritz" Bay City, Michigan Mr. Ruegsegger passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at his residence with his loving family at his side. Age 95 years. The son of the late Frederick and Anna (Wackerle) Ruegsegger, he was born on November 16, 1921 in Kawkawlin, Michigan. Fred was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. He began his career in agriculture, then continued on in real estate and developed Alpine Village, Over the years he enjoyed traveling the United States and abroad, enjoyed woodworking, sewing for World Relief and spending the winters in Florida. On June 24, 1945 Fred married the former Winifred Durham, and she preceded him in death on January 21, 1983 and then on November 27, 1983 he married the former Marilyn L. Kupferschmid and she is left to cherish his memories along with two daughters and two sons-in-law; Bev and Tom Jozwiak and Barb and Dale Bash, one son and daughter-in-law; Michael and Nancy Ruegsegger, five grandchildren; Jeff and Jennifer Jozwiak, Kristie and Dave Conklin, Jeremy and Kate Cardinali, Nicholas and Denise Ruegsegger and Justin Ruegsegger, six great grandchildren; Nathan Conklin, Elliot Conklin, Tyler Conklin, Jack Cardinali, Olivia Cardinali and Adriana Cardinali, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Orville Kupferschmid, Velda and Don Hish, Betty Ifft, Bill and Celeste Kupferschmid, Dean and Robin Kupferschmid, Richard and Maribeth Kupferschmid and Alfred and Wanda Kupferschmid and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Ruegsegger was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters-in-law; Ben and Elaine Ruegsegger and Glenn and Margaret Ruegsegger, one sister and brother-in-law; Eleanor and Paul Munsel, two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law; Marlene Kupferschmid, Gary and Becky Kupferschmid and Warren Ifft. The Funeral Service will take place Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church. Officiating will be the Clergy of the Church with interment following in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Ruegsegger will lie instate at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to the Apostolic Christian Church.
