Frederick Allen Smart

Frederick passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 74. He was born in Bay City, Michigan on April 3, 1944 to the Late Isaac (Ethel) Smart and Thelma (Lawrence) Wood. Frederick was a very kind hearted man that would help anyone out in their time of need; he was also an officiant for the universal life church. Frederick enjoyed traveling and visiting with his family and friends.

Frederick is survived by his children, Rob (JoEllen), Cheri (Neil), Mary, Lisa (Chris), Cindy (Jim), Darren (Hope), and Katelin; brother, Larry (Jennifer); sister, Mary; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Frederick was preceded in death by his son Fred Jr.

At the request of Frederick cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Shot N Shell in Essexville, Michigan. Those planning a memorial contribution to the wishes of the family.
