Nowosatka, Fredrick Paul Essexville, Michigan Mr. Nowosatka passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, February 21, 2013 after an eleven year battle with Leukemia. With strength and determination, Fred fought long and hard against the aggressive disease and was successful in achieving remission three times. Fred was born January 17, 1962 to Thomas and Janet Nowosatka. Fred was a carpenter before his retirement, working with crews at CA Hull and Midwest Bridge, among others. Fred was a devoted family man and generous friend who was always willing to lend a hand to others. Always smiling, Fred had a great sense of humor and a truly infectious laugh. In addition to his parents, Fred is survived by his incredible wife Debra and four beautiful daughters: Tiffany (Michael), Ashley (Nathan), Kasie (Justin) and Kylie (Josh), two amazing grandchildren: Nicholas and Aubree; his brother Donald (Val) Nowosatka; his sister Colleen Walker; his mother and father-in-law: George and Eunice Silverthorn; his brothers and sisters-in-law: Larry (Judy) Silverthorn, Linda (Robert) Bosco, Brian (Debbie) Silverthorn, Bill Silverthorn, Amy Glazier, as well as many nieces, nephews, loyal friends and his beloved 1951 GMC pick-up, "Old Blue". Funeral and Committal services will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2013 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Tom Burdette the chaplain at the University of Michigan Health System. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 12:00 O'Clock Noon and until the time of services. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Hospice of Michigan. The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Dr. Erba, Dr. Perez, Rev. Tom Burdette and the rest of the amazing staff of the University of Michigan Medical Center for the wonderful care Fred received over the last eleven years.
