Frieda (Lang) Schlicker

Frieda passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020 at the age of 88 years. She resided at Caretel Inns of Tri Cities for the past four years. She was born on June 6, 1931 to the late Jacob and Mary (Oblender) Lang. Frieda was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. Frieda was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed, but we know we will see her again once we also reach our Heavenly Home.
Frieda is survived by her son, Werner Wayne (Joyce) Schlicker of Lake City, MN; daughter, Paula Kay Conklin of Ankeny, IA; ten grandchildren, Mandi (Justin) Ross, Chad (Dawn) Conklin, Kelly (Trason) Fell, Troy Schlicker, Carrie (Nathan) Koenig, Zachary Schlicker, Luke (Holly) Conklin, Kasey (Collin) Walker, Katy (Brian) Homcy and Kelsey (Zacharia) Bell; fourteen great grandchildren, Jakin, Jackson, Caden, Jordyn, Eliana, Paxton, Aveyah, Jeriah, Courtney, Logan, Jeshua, Lucy, Adoniah and Stockton; three special family members who visited her regularly at Caretel Inns, Norman and Marlene Maurer and Brenda Anaman; one special niece, Lori Bartholomew; many other nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Janet Schnell. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Wernert Schlicker and six brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Paul E. Schaewe with committal following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
