Garry W. Bishop

Bishop, Garry W. Bay City, Michigan Mr. Bishop passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 86 years. The son of the late Frank and Laura (Roth) Bishop was born May 6, 1931 in Bay City, Michigan. Mr. Bishop was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and enjoyed being at his cabin, woodworking and watching Bay City Central football. Mr. Bishop is survived by his children, Bryan (Amy) Bishop, Melissa (John) Nixon, Mark Bishop, Matt (Tammy) Bishop; eight grandchildren, Lauren, Jeffrey and Andrew Nixon, Colin, Aidan, Sinead Bishop and Alysha and Hunter Bishop; one sister, Elaine Paeth; one brother, Richard (Agatha) Bishop; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Mr. Bishop was also preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Bishop and one brother, Frank Bishop. At the request of Mr. Bishop cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be Rev. Matthew Schramm. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for Bay City Central Booster Club or Westminster Presbyterian Church will be available at the church.
