Gary G. Giffin

Gary G. Giffin, of Kissimmee, FL & Essexville, MI, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in Kissimmee, FL, age75. The son of the late Clifford & Laura (Graham) Giffin, he was born November 25, 1935 in Bay City. Gary served with the US Air Force. He was a retired 18 wheeler driver. Gary was a member of the NRA and a former member of the Moose Lodge. Gary is survived by his four children, James Wallace Giffin of Saginaw, Jayne Lynn Shaw of Kissimmee, FL, Gary Dale Giffin of Midland and Todd Clifford Giffin of Clermont, FL; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Ann (William) Schnell; a sister-in-law, Jane (James) Green; and many nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, Gary was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha B. (Floyd) Giffin in 2008; and a great-grandson. The funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Monday March 28, 2011 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Peter Avery followed by interment at Floral Gardens Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 to 9:00pm and on Monday from 10:00am until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
