Gary A. Miller

Gary passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at the Michigan Veteran Home D.J. Jacobetti in Marquette, Michigan at the age of 72. He was born to the late Carl and Phyllis (Morris) Miller on December 19, 1951 in Bay City, Michigan. He graduated from Handy High in 1970 and served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1979. He was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with Linda and her family. He was such a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Gary is survived his son, Carl Miller and his wife, Leslie; grandchildren, Kyle Miller, Brandon Pilon and his wife, Erica, Sirena Malesky and her husband, Hayden and Kasi Aikens; great grandchildren, Benjamin Malesky, Gracen Pilon, Lennox Pilon, Maeve Pilon and Bryce Pilon; brother, Randy Miller and his wife, Michelle; niece, Ashley Doyle and family; special friend, Linda Hildebrant and her children, Jeff Derocher and his wife, Torrey, Scott Derocher and his wife, Connie and Troy Derocher and her grandchildren, Austin, Emmeline, Elizabeth, Carson, Jack, Cullen and Harrison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Miller and former wife, Debroah Connelly.

A memorial service for Gary will be taking place on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Kawkawlin Community Church with private entombment to follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Military Honors will be held before the service on Wednesday at the Church. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Campbell. The family will be present to receive visitors on Wednesday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bay County Veterans.
