Gary L. Ousterhout, of Bay City, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2014 at his residence. Age 73 years. The son of the late Frank N. and Nella (Banks) Ousterhout was born November 14, 1940 in Detroit, MI. He retired from General Motors after 31 years of service. He enjoyed classic cars, golfing and was an avid pool player. Gary served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1961. Left to cherish his memory is his three children and their spouses; Laura and Tom Hilliker, David M. and Kimberly Ousterhout and Christine Ousterhout, four grandchildren; Ashley and Kyle Ousterhout, Mark Burch and Jessica Pena, two great grandchildren; Madison and Morgan LaPan and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one brother; Frank D. Ousterhout and one sister; Rita A. Tanner. Funeral Services will take place Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Conducting the service will Gary's friend, Vern Veit with interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery followed by Military Honors conducted by the Bay County Veteran Council. The family will be present at the funeral home on Monday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services.
