Gary L. Walsh

Gary passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 73 years. He was born in Bay City on May 20, 1945 to the late Miles and Helen (Pias) Walsh. Gary was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church for many years and worked and retired from General Motors in 1999 after 30 years. He was a member of Local 362 and was active in the union as a committee man. After retirement he worked for Wheelers Landing and enjoyed building picnic tables and swings. He was always known to be a busy person, always on the go and enjoyed watching wrestling.
Gary is survived by his daughter, Lisa (James) Schram; son, Gary "Bub" (Laura) Walsh; grandchildren, Ally (Benjamen) Toyzan, Tyler Monville, Lukas Schram, Kaitlyn, Matthew and Ryan Walsh; great grandson, Eli Toyzan; sisters, Janice Coss, Julie (Dan) Pembroke and Nancy (Chuck) Howe; brother, Wayne (Juanita) Barth and many nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy; father, Miles (Hazel) Walsh; mother, Helen (Clarence) Barth and brother, Paul Walsh.
