Genevieve G. Rice

Rice, Genevieve G. Bay City, Michigan Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away July 30, 2014 at St. Mary's Skilled Nursing Facility. Age 86 years. The daughter of the late Harvey and Evelyn (Sherman) Headings was born July 6, 1928 in Bay City, Michigan. Genevieve enjoyed cooking, crocheting, bird watching, flowers and most of all spending time with her family. Mrs. Rice is survived by her three children, Glen (Debra) Rice of Omer, Michigan, Susan (Arthur Weinberg) Helms of Standish, Michigan and Genevieve G. (Duane) Mayer of Defiance, Ohio; two daughters-in-law, Paula (Clarence) Rice and Phyllis (Eldon) Rice; 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; one brother, Sherman (Rose) Headings of Bay City, one sister, Ruth Presley of Davison, Michigan. In addition to her parents Genevieve was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. Rice I; two children, Clarence H. Rice II and Eldon S. Rice; one granddaughter, Melissa Rice; one brother, Richard Headings and one son-in-law, Edwin Helms. A private family service has taken place with interment in Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
