George W. Melzer

George passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper at the age of 78. George was born October 7, 1944 in Chicago, IL. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was a caring and giving man who would give help to anyone that needed it. He enjoyed spending time with his wonderful neighbors and his friends at the Bell Bar and 7-11.

George is survived by, Rosa Schian and his grandson, Marcus Ricupati and his cat, Luna.

At the request of George, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned at this time. Military honors will take place at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contribution to the wishes of the family.
