Obermiller, Gerald E. (Jerry) Bay City, Michigan Mr. Obermiller passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Bay Regional Medical Center. The son of the late Frederick and Helen L. (Leser) Obermiller was born April 1, 1930 in Monitor Township, Bay County, MI and has resided in this area all of his life. He was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, retired from Dow Chemical Co. -Plastic Lined Pipe. Jerry enjoyed playing cards and woodworking. He is survived by one son Timothy G. Obermiller serving with the National Guard in Kuait, one daughter and son-in-law; Heidi L. and Jeffrey Owczarzak of Essexville, five grandchildren; Chadd, Leigha and Chaun Obermiller of McKinley, MI and Hallie and Andrew Owczarzak of Essexville, his sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Betty Hennard, James and Shirley Obermiller of Bay City, Marlene and Paul Chriss of AZ, Robert and Marilyn Obermiller, Thomas and Diane Obermiller, Arlene Obermiller and Leonard Jeske all of Bay City and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his dog; Buddy. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother; Arlin Obermiller, three sisters and three brothers-in-law; Joann Jeske, Joyce and Waldo Mossner, Shirley and Ralph Bernreuter and Pete Hennard. Funeral Services will take place Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church (706 W. Jane St. Bay City, MI) Officiating will be Rev. Paul E. Schweppe with private interment. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.. Mr. Obermiller will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 9:30 a.m. and until the time of service. Memorial cards for St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church Anniversary Fund or Bethel Ev. Lutheran Church "Feed My Lambs" will be available.
