Gerald R. Piasecki

Mr. Piasecki passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Bay Shores Nursing Care Center. Age 86 years. Mr. Piasecki was born November 17, 1933 in Bay City, Michigan. He was retired from the Bay City Water Department and was a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Parish, AARP, and the retiree group from the City of Bay City Workers.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Elaine whom he married on August 9, 1995; one son, Robert (Carla) Piasecki; four step children, Susan (Keith) Heinemann, Julie (Jeff) Russell, Robert (Deana) Lauria and Cathy Lauria; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Leslie, Amanda, Robert Jr. and Alisha; many great grandchildren; one sister, Jacqueline Luptowski; sister-in-law, Karen Almond and many nieces and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace; mother, Mary Almond; son, Richard Piasecki; brother, Daniel Almond; sister, Patricia Guschek and two brothers-in-law, James Luptowski and Robert Guschek.
Funeral and Committal services will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2020 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Sr. Christine Gretka, CSJ., with private interment in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Due to the current health concerns and gathering limitations of 10 people at one time, social distancing will be observed. Please be advised that there may be a wait time in order to insure the safety of the family. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Friday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services.
