Geraldine "Geri" Luczak

Luczak, Geraldine "Geri" Bay City, MI Mrs. Luczak passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 30, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 83 years. She was born February 25, 1930 in Bay City, MI where she resided most of her life. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Geri enjoyed spending time with her family at their cottage at Clear Lake in West Branch and wintering in Florida. She is survived by; five daughters and two sons -in-law, Renee and Chuck Dardas of Rochester, MI, Rachel Luczak of Ann Arbor, Sherry Dalzell of Bay City, Becky Luczak of Troy, and Tracey and Chris Knorp of Naperville, IL; seven grandchildren; Leiby and Kalle Dardas, Michaela, Derek and Erica Dalzell and Mackenzie and Madison Knorp, two sisters-in-law; Marg Luczak and Thelma Luczak both of Bay City and many nieces and nephews. On October 24, 1953 she married Eugene Luczak in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on February 6, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents; Helen and Edwin Rasmus, one son-in-law; Mike Dalzell, her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Grace and Emil Swiecicki, Patricia and Richard Brzezinski, Elaine and Edward Wiechec, Marge and James Lewicki, Donald Luczak and Gerald A. Luczak and her longtime special friend; Janette Roznowski. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Tuesday, February4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. The celebrant will Rev. Fr. Richard M. Filary with the Rite of Committal following in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The Vigil for the deceased will take place Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Luczak will be taken to the church on Tuesday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of service. Memorial cards for St. Stanislaus Catholic Church will be available.
