Geraldine "Gerry" Ruth Kaczorowski

Mrs. Kaczorowski passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the Carriage House. Age 93 years. The daughter of the late David and Florence (Volders) Schaefer was born August 26, 1924 in Bay City, Michigan. Mrs. Kaczorowski was retired from Delta College and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Bay City Lions Club and a member of the church choir for many years.

Mrs. Kaczorowski is survived by her husband, Leonard F. Kaczorowski whom she married on August 7, 1965; one daughter, Melissa Nicholson Eichhorn; four step children, Leonard (Joan) Kaczorowski, Robert Kaczorowski, Beverly (David) Maciejewski and Douglas (Kim) Kaczorowski; ten grandchildren, Patrick, Steven and John Katz, Jill Allen, Nicholas Almond, David Nicholson, Laura Bouckart, Emily Hall and Kelsey and Paige Andrezjewski; numerous great grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; numerous step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her step mother, Doris Schaefer; three children, Richard Nicholson, Sharon Almond and Stuart Nicholson Jr.; two grandchildren, Michael Katz and Gabriel Andrezjewski; one brother, James Schaefer; one sister, Marion Maxwell; one brother-in-law, William Maxwell and one son-in-law, Robert Almond.

Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Paul G. Kruse with private interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Kaczorowski will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial cards for Zion Lutheran Church will be available at the funeral home.
