Geraldine C. Schlink

Mrs. Schlink passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Huron Woods Nursing Home. Age 93 years. The daughter of the late Joseph and Oleva (Reinhardt) DeShano was born June 13, 1923 in Beaver Township, Bay County, Michigan and has resided in Bay County all of her life. She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and the Daughters of Isabella and retired from Prestolite after 35 years of service. She enjoyed bowling, fishing and hunting. Left to cherish her memories are five nephews and one niece; Lee Allen (Joan) Hartson, Connie (Alan) Robetoy, Keith Hartson, Kevin Hartson, Dale (Gwen) Perz and Randy (Denise) Perz, one sister-in-law; Evelyn Monroe and her great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin E. Schlink, two sisters; Veronica (Chester) Perz and Mary (Lee) Hartson. The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal Service will take place Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish- Holy Trinity Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert Kelm with private interment in Calvary Cemetery in Kawkawlin. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home on Wednesday to receive visitors from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Schlink will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to Corpus Christi Parish.
