Germaine I. Dammer

Mrs. Germaine Irene Dammer, age 84 years, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday morning, August 12, 2016. She was born to the late Thaddeus and Irene (Musielak) Wyzkiewicz on December 20, 1931 in Bay City. Germaine was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish - St. Hyacinth Church. She married the love of her life Patrick W. Dammer on July 19, 1949 who predeceased her in death in 1996. In addition to raising her five children and her extended daughter, Mom's hobbies were selling antiques, playing cards, bingo and going to the casino. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for her children and their friends, who appreciated it dearly.
Mrs. Dammer is survived by her children, Susan (Robert) Boller of Wadsworth, IL, Sheryll Bristow, Patrick Dammer, Randall (Pamela) Dammer and Pamela (Baran) Blaszczynski, all of Bay City; her seven grandchildren, Jamie, Joshua and Matthew Boller, EeShel (Matt) Zwerk, Damian (Erika) Bristow, Shannon (David) Hinman and Sarah (Andrew) Ellis; nine great-grandchildren, Ethan, Christian, Ezmae, Landon, Anthony, Charlotte, Cecelia, Anastasia and Francesca; two sisters, Pauline Sugar and Mary Ososki; two brothers-in-law, Virgil (Era) Dammer and Donald Dammer; and several nieces and nephews. Germaine was a loving nanny to the Davis, Way, and Supernaut families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick W. Dammer in 1996; a loving daughter, Debra Dammer; her mother, Irene (Musielak) Wyzkiewicz; her father, Thaddeus Wyzkiewicz; and her step-mother, Philomena Wyzkiewicz.

The Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish - St. Hyacinth Church, 1515 Cass Ave. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Richard M. Filary with the Rite of Committal to follow at St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. Mrs. Dammer will lie instate at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. There will be no visitation at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. www.gephartfuneralhome.com
