Mrs. Pawlak, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017. Age 100 years. Mrs. Pawlak was born July 11, 1917 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Joseph and Eleanor Flasinski. Mrs. Pawlak graduated from Saginaw High School and Saginaw Business Institute. Germaine was an active member of Corpus Christi Parish - St. Hedwig Church for the past 64 years. Germaine also served with her husband Florian as co-originators and members of St. Hedwig Kiesel's Pearls Senior Club and was a decade's long member of The Daughters of Isabella.

Mrs. Pawlak is survived by two loving sons, Timothy (Rosemary) of Midland and Stephen (Jane) of Bay City; five grandchildren, Michael (Sally), Deborah (Jeffery) Stupak, Stephen, Scott, Tammy (Jason) Gutierrez and six great grandchildren, Jake, Nicholas, Jordan, Ava, Xavier and Eliana. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Florian (Floyd) of 69 years, whom she married on April 20, 1940 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saginaw, Michigan; one sister, Evelyn; three brothers, Jack, Jerome and Guy and one great grandson, Gabriel.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Janet Sutton, D.O. for her loving care and support, the Colonnades Assisted Living and to Heartland Hospice.

Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Corpus Christi Parish - St. Hedwig Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Kelm with private entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum. Mrs. Pawlak will be taken to the church to lie in state on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Corpus Christi Parish - St. Hedwig Church.
