Gertrude passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Bay County Medical Care Facility at the, age of 101 years. The daughter of the late John E. and Martha (Rumptz) Schubert was born December 28, 1917 in Ubly, Michigan. She was member of the former St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed spending time with her cat and feeding the birds. Gertrude and her late husband, Louis enjoyed to entertain having many parties in their basement, loved to socialize with their many friends and loved to winter in Florida.
Left behind to cherish her memories are several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parent s she was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis E. Ladouceur; one daughter, Patricia Ladouceur; two sisters Isabelle Zacharko and Marie Karnath; one brother Bernard Schubert.
The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will be celebrated on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. St Catherine of Siena Parish-St. Vincent de Paul Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. James Wm. Bessert with private interment in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be present at the church on Thursday to receive family and friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
