Gilbert "Gib" H. Neumeyer

Neumeyer, Gilbert H. "Gib" of Bay City, Michigan passed away Thursday July 12, 2012 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 84 years. He was born December 26, 1927 in Frankenlust Township and has resided here all of his life. He was a life long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust and served with the United States Army. Gib was lifelong farmer of the Frankenlust Area, raising potatoes and was known for keeping his ground immaculate, he enjoyed working in his yard and keeping it impeccable and traveling the back roads of the United States and spending the winters in the south On July 21, 1951 he married his wife of 61 years the former Jeannine R. Precour and she survives his passing along with four children and their spouses; Scott and Sue Neumeyer, Robert and Barb Neumeyer, Carol and Randall Goddard and Kathleen and Edward Christensen, his grandchildren, great grandchildren, three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law; Wilma Neumeyer-Stewart , Beverly Roberge and Donna and Richard Precour and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Anton G. and Anna E. (Weiss) Neumeyer and one brother; Melvin C. Neumeyer. The Neumeyer family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the CCU Staff at McLaren Bay Region for the kind and compassionate care they extended to Gib during the time they cared for him. Funeral Services will take place Monday July 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. Officiating will be Rev. Paul D. Theiss with private inurnment in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.. Mr. Neumeyer will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for St. Paul Lutheran Church Memorial Fund will be available at the funeral home.
